Hi all - want to thank everyone up front for any advice give - you guys are great.
Here's the deal: I have a '94 vert and parked it is fine, but while driving in the rain the roof will leak. I think it is water being driven up along the windshield and under the seals.
A friend suggested lubing the seals but I wonder if that won't just create a sticky mess. The seals are not cracked or in disrepair and are still soft and flexible, although I imagine over time they become compressed maybe.

I just use my vert for a sunny-day driver so have little experience driving in the rain. The Corvette gurus reccomend using dialectric grease on all the rubber seals and then wiping it off. This keeps them soft but does not leave them sticky.
It doesn't sound like this is your problem. Can you get to an upholstery shop that installs convertible tops? They can check to see that the top is adjusted properly. Make sure you go somewhere that actually has a lot of experience doing this.
Where are you located? I'll bet one of the Forum members can suggest a shop for you.
I'm in Pennsylvania Philly burbs. I don't intend to drive the car in the rain, it is just distressing to be caught in the rain and then after a bit see a drip or two fall. I'm grateful that it doesn't appear to happen when the car is parked, but if it is a small maintenance issue then I would like to take care of it rather than just accept that it happens...
If your weatherstripping is original to the car it could simply be time to replace the culprit pieces.
About two or three years ago I had the same problem that you speak of. Everyone I told made a joke about how it's a Corvette and they all leak. Finding little humor in that, I had the entire windshield weatherstripping replaced with GM weatherstrip and there are no more leaks/drips.
It's rare that my car sees water, but like you, I didn't want any water entering the cabin if caught in the rain. It's something to think about.
