Yesterday my window stopped raising the window all the way up.
I worried but then after a while I pressed the button and up it went.
It did this several times and now it has gotten worse. There doesn't
seem to be any noise when the button is pressed. Is this hard to fix?
What should I look for. No broken contacts on the outside of the door.
Thanks in advance for any help.
You have no indication on your post or profile of what year Vette you have. If it's up to 86, some of the Corvette aftermarket vendors have a nylon strip that have teeth which wear out over time. The window motor gear uses these teeth to push or pull the window up or down. You can replace that strip (if that's your problem). You might have to replace the whole motor/window mechanism which goes for around $200 without labor. I've done both (strip on one, motor on the other).
about a year ago this month , in my 1992, my passenger side window motor stopped working. To replace it it cost me about 350.00 including labor. The motor was connected to this long metal frame. It look like they just had to take the panel off the door and just insert new one.
