86 Corvette No Start Problem
86 Vette will not crank. The lights do not dim when I try cranking it. I have one of those vats bypass modules since the key cylinder was giving me problems. The fuel pump runs when I turn the key.
Since the fuel pumps runs does that mean it's not a vats issue?
Also, I noticed that there is a vats fuse does that effect cranking?
The only two other options I can think of is either the starter or maybe the starter relay in the dash?
Is there anyway I can jump it to get the thing running since it's stuck in a Manhattan garage right now? It will be very difficult to get under the car without a jack and they won't let me jack it there. They would rather I tow it out which I really don't want to do. What terminals on the starter do I need to jump to see if it will crank?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
