Just pondering here, so I thought I'd put on my flame suit and ask the CF.
I really like the look of ghost flames, but typically expect to see them in the same general color family as the body overall - ie. dark blue paint with lighter blue or silver flames.
My car is dark blue, but the interior and top are saddle. So the thought crossed my mind - how would gold ghost flames look? Part of me says if they are light enough they would look great, another part says - too much bling.
I say go for it. I would look at a few other people's cars that have them and then form your o2 about what you want on yours. I would not worry about all the others, do what makes you feel good.
Go find forum member "bandit" sounds like he has your color combo with ghost flames. He just took 1st place at a show with over 60 other vettes. his is a sweet looking car

A guy in the club I belonged to in Utah was a custom painter and had some on his Vette. It was a black Vette and you couldn't see the flames until you walked up on the car and then they faded in and out as you walked around -- I thought it really looked sharp and made the car stand out.
When I got mine done I had to be talked into it..Actually I knew wanted ghost flames, they talked me into using the color shifting paint ..Hell, I even told the guy if I didnt like it I was gonna have him Just spray the dammed thing black...
... but I had a huge grin on my face when I saw it done

I have a black/tan 93....I saw an identical car at a show that had chrome illusion ghost flames...absolutely incredible...one minute they were there, then they were gone...one minute purple then orange then red then blue...sounds funky but it was beautiful....they are on my list for sure...
