Just bought a 1994 Polo green convertible. 28,000 miles. The RPO code of CV3 tells me it is a Mexico delivery. RPO EXP tells me it is an export version. I have the build sheet and the window sticker, bought from NCM. Now I have several questions. Both the build sheet and window sticker state delivery to "GM De Mexico operations, Ramos ARIZPE". How did it get from there to Dallas TX where Carfax indicates it was first registered? There is no indication on the Carfax report the Corvette was ever in Mexico.
Next question, other than the dash guages which show the temps in C not F. Are there any other diferences in a Mexico export Corvette? I can not see any.
Thanks in advance.

CarFax should show the date it was registered in the US. The only thing you might get from Mexico is the service info from the GM dealer that serviced it. Good luck.
As for differences, go out and start the car and let it run for about 20-25 minutes. If you open the hood and remove the throttle body you will find 2 heated beef burritos under the plenum, ready to serve.
Canadian models come with 2 klondike bars in the A/C.
IBeam700, the Eng/Met button will not help him, on 91's the temp guages etc. are analong and there is no digital display option for the guages (Only speedo), so if they are celcius they will remain celcius.

The 94 has both digital and analog guages, I noticed the analogs were different because the coolant temp on the analog only goes to about 135, C that is. And yes I did push the button for the miles, not kilometers. Thanks for your advice about the Mexican connection.

My 87 was first sold to GM Environmental Services in Warren, MI but there is no Carfax data about that, only the first registration to a private buyer. IIRC, some cars that are owned by auto makers can get a "manufacturer" license plate and I think that MI has a plate like that. Even though the car is "licensed", it did not have a certificate of title issued, only the MSO and registration certificate for the plates.
