Default ...windsheld wiper chatter....

....anyone have a suggestion on the best replacement windshield wiper to prevent chatter?....i have a set of bosch blades on my 94 right now but they are getting worse and worse....so am looking for a good replacement....

I'm interested to hear what others have to say as well. Mine don't chatter, but they are in need of replacement.

On another note, if you've used RainX recently, that may be a contributor to the problem. My ol' man used RainX once on his C4, and it made the chatter absolutely unbearable. That stuff is almost supposed to be used in place of wipers...not in conjunction with.

Gordon Killebrew once told me of a trick in this area. Take the blades off and reverse them so that they sweep against the offosite edge (they don't really sit flat against the windshield when sweeping).

Make sure the blades are exactly perpendicular to the windshield.
Over time, the arms tend to bend toward the top of the windshield. Take two adjustable wrenches and while holding one steady, bend the last six inches if the arm clockwise until the blades are perfectly perpendicular to the windshield. No more chatter... ever.
