Im sad to say my love, my beautiful love, is out for the count. She suffered a collison with an SUV.
It all happen early in the evening, approximate time 1938, Saturday April 16th, at the intersections of Ellsworth and Baseline, Mesa, Az.
It was a gorgous 92 degree starlite evening, the top was off, the wind in my hair, the music pumping. I was traveling north on Ellsworth approaching Baseline. Just as I crossed the intersection, a "yahoo" in a Blue Honda CRV decide to turn left off the south bound ellsworth onto baseline.
While my cat like speed and reflexes are generally outstanding, it was not enough. My beauty, a 1992 Polo Green 6 speed, was hit. Drivers sided door, rear corner panel, and rear drivers rim all damaged.
At the age of 13 she has been well treated and maintained. This will be her first such injury. Doctors say she is in fair to critical condition and will remain guarded until further evaluation.
Im still waiting in the ER for a Doctor (insurance adjuster) to check her out. Its killing me to see her out of commision.
I will be taking her to a Specialist (body shop) by weeks end to have them evaluate her. Im wondering if i should have it placed on a jig to ensure she is straight.
