First car show
A good thing to do is prep your vette before you leave for the show. I usually get my car to look as good as it can before I leave my driveway. When I get to the show, I redue all the detail work. The more detailing you can do the better chance you have in the competition. Don't get discouraged in the beginning. Enjoy the challenge, watch and learn. Good luck!!

Make sure your engine is presentable and open the hood. Most people won't vote for a car if the hood is not open
Keep your interior spotless.
Use something like Eagle One wet tire shine on your tires . Then spray your wheel wells with the stuff. I really looks good.
Have fun ! have fun !! have fun !!!
Good luck

Is your class broken down to 84-90 & 90-96 or 84-96? Better chances when split. This is what the judges looked for at the show I was in,
1.Paint- 25 points. overall condition, no wax in the seems, detail etc.
2.Underhood-25 points. how clean, any chrome?, valve covers and runners look good?, does the under side of the hood look good (no water spots) ect.
3.Interior- 25 points.how clean, good carpet?, are the seats detailed, seat backs cleaned, do the door panels look good?
4.Tire & Wheels- 10 points. Again, how clean and detailed, Do the lug nuts match, do you have good center caps, valve stem caps, do the tires match ,are they worn real bad.
5.Trunk area-5 points. Are there any missing pieces, torn carpet, broken speaker grills , ect.
6. Chassis- 10 points. How detailed is the front end A-arms, sway bars, rotors, calipers. Does the rear end have oil or grease dripping from it. Good luck, Hope you have as much fun as I did.
