Hey guys - what do you run for air pressure in your tires? I hadn't checked mine since I had the new ZR1's and Sumitomo tires mounted a few months back, but when I checked it yesterday I had 3 @ around 35lbs., and one at 51lbs. Stupid tire shop. If I remember correctly the max. tire pressure was 50-something, but I am used to running 32-35 lbs.
What say you oh wise Corvette brothers and sisters?
There is a sticker on the inside of the driver's door with GM Tire pressure recommendations. That's what the tire manufacturers suggest. That is to use the car manufacturers recommendation.
And should I be concerned about low turn signal fluid?
Thanks guys.
Great, I just changed my headlight fluid - remembering to add equal amounts of stabilizer and a few drops of candlepower booster and now I find out I've got to change my turn signal fluid too???? I'm assuming there's a filter to change too?
I just went to Jiffy Lube tonight and asked them to swap out my winter air for some nice summer air.. What a difference...
Seriously, my car's been riding like a BRICK lately.. I checked the pressure tonight and I was running 40+ on ALL FOUR. The guy(s) at the gear shop must have put air in the tires or something , because I know I didn't hit them up that high!!!!!!!
From: St. Peters MO Sometimes you have to prove yourself by doing alot of killing or alot of dying...
50lbs in the front and 200lbs in the rear just kidding.
Generally I run about 35-40 in the front depending on the tire and 20 lbs in the rear. it seemed to increase stability over "grooved" or bumpy roads where radial pull was an issue.
Well I don't change air in the tires or motor oil; I just add a little every week or two.
When I got my GY Eagles installed the shop had left inflation at over 40pis...
Usually I run 35-37psi up front and 29-30psi out back. But, for the recent Bear Mt. twisties run, I upped the rear inflation to 34-35psi and was glad that I had done it. On an early set of down hill twisties for the first time I heard those big Eagles begin talking to me.
