I think all 86 verts are technically pace cars and came with the decals, but it was up to dealer/owners if they were installed.
This is absolutely correct. Chevrolet wasn't confident that the yellow pace car (what was actually driven at Indy) would sell well, so they covered themselves by widening the net.

Anyone notice the flush mount tail lights? Cool Always have loved the look of a hardtop and ZR-1 wheels.
That was one of the first things I noticed about the car, I don't recall seeing flush mounted tail-lights on a C4 before...How did that happen?
As for the blower, yea.
The motor is built for boost, it still has the brackets, oil return line etc. for the Vortec, Glen is going to get me another head unit to put on it...Right now I just want to get used to driving it like it is, even on motor it just boils the 315s through 3 gears
According to him, on 14lbs of boost through the Vortec it made almost 700hp, I'm not sure how much I believe it, but if it's true then I have no problem with it either lol.
Oh, another question...I have a set of MT ET Streets to use at the track on another set of C4 rims.
I'm "guesstimating" I really hate bench racing, but on street tires it just boils the tires, so its hard to get a grasp of how fast the car really is. But I'm guessing on motor its making 350-375 at the wheels...
You think I could go low 12s with a 1.7 60' or so?
Nice aero on the side peices, notice how it's meant to extract the air from the wheel wells.
I honestly don't know, I would like to know though, because I love the way this vette looks...If anyone has any info on as where the car got its sexiness from, please let me know
