I did the recomended max (rears) on a 9.5 285/40/17. The tire guys here (belle , discount) are saying that the ford stang guys are puttin the 315 on a 9 or 9.5, for a "retro" look and tire choice is the contenetal version. But stangs arent goin around corners fast either, and definitly not with that much tier flex

that 285's are as wide as I'd go... and Mustang guys do put 315's on them for the rear of their cars... but no one said Mustang guys were smart.
