Whats Wrong With This Shock ???
I installed this shock, new, about a month ago, has less than 400 miles.
Its scraped, it wasn't like this before I installed it.
Whats wrong with it ??? Thanks in advance.

There's a ring seated at the top of the shock shaft, if this isn't perfectly aligned, or the hole in the shock boot isn't just right, the boot will sit cockeyed like that.
It's not a problem, just a nuisance. Try pulling the boot outward and see if it stays centered better. All the boot does is help keep the shock shaft clean.

Most shocks will do this. Other than causing us great aesthetic anguish, it does no harm.
