Ive got a few questions for anyone who has ordered a two tone boot from them.
I have read the other posts so no need to resurface them, all I want to know is how they do the two tone on a 96 vette. Is the boot just one color on one side and one color on the other, or do they do it in four panels like the pic on thier website? I realize the pic on thier site is obviously from a different car. Also, if you have a short throw shifter, how short did you have them cut off the top. I emailed them and they said that they would cut 1.5" off the top, is this enough, or should I go two. I have a Hurst that I cut about 3/4 " off the top of the stick. If anyone has any pics of the two tone installed I would love to see it. Thanks for the help.
I installed mine a couple of days ago. I'm on duty and stuck on the ship today but will take a picture and post it tomorrow. It is black on the drivers side and yellow on the passenger side. It fit good with no problems. I like it enough that I'm going to order a short version for when I install a short shifter that I've purchased. I had excellent service from these guys and recommend. Another question from a 96 owner - how will I attach a RedLine boot to my current setup? I have the stock shifter, but I cut about an inch off the top and use a MOMO shiftknob. I guess my question is, what holds the boot "up"?
