Just got my Bose Gold head unit and all four amps back from "Same Day Audio". My "woes" are over, it sounds great! Everything works it has good volume. CD's go in and out and it reads my CDR's. I am very satisfied. Had a slight problem when reinstallling the head unit. I think I got it fixed, will post later about it if I start having problems. Not going to bring it up unless I screwed it up royally. Anyway, I just want you all to know.

Same Day Audio is the guy on Ebay that I used "RCH72" . The price for the head unit repair on mine was $100 + shipping and he did the CDR upgrade to the laser for that price. Rich is a real stand up guy and I will spread the word everywhere I go for him. Check Ebay (Bose Gold search).

Just like Jusardnck said, the head unit CDR upgrade is $100, the amp rebuild was $50/each ($200 for all 4) and $15 shipping. I had the unit out only 9 days, most of that was shipiping back and forth.

I must have gotten it fixed, no problem today on a 45 minute run. While I was putting the shift console back into place last night I must have pinched some wires as the dash lights all flashed and went out and the battery drained. Once I took the console back apart and then back together again right I had to jump start the Vette. Then the Service Ride Control light came on. After I shut it down and started it back up after a couple of minutes the light came on again. I hadn't driven the car since I had the radio and amps out (about two weeks total). So I took it out this afternoon to stretch her legs, no problem with the light coming back on, so it must not have been my screw-up.
