HELP PLEASE!!! Need part for console!

The console lid in my ZR-1 will not latch down. Everything appears to be fine with the lid, button and latch assembly. The problem appears to be with the metal tab within the console that the lid latch closes down against. When you let out the button and the "latch" closes, there is not enough metal bent out there for the latch to hook against. I mean, there is really no metal tab sticking out there for it to latch to.

Anyone ever have one of these break off, and if so, where did you obtain a replacment?

I had a parts breakdown on that but I can't put my hands on it right now. I got mine from the local Chev dealer and he even faxed me the breakdown so I could get the right piece.

There are console lids on E-Bay all the time. I found a nice replacement in good shape for a great price on E-Bay.
