Default window tint

I just wanted to know, if anyone had any tricks to remove rear window tint without getting rid of the defroster wires

thanks

I asked about this a while back and got many replies and methods. What worked for me was just peeling it REALLY slowly so the glue came off with the tint. It took the course of two nights working on and off to peel it that slow. The defrost lines seemed much more durable than I thought they would be and I had no problem just peeling in line with them.

Hold your breath here! Unavoidably there will still be areas where the glue is still on the window. I actually found brake fluid took it off in a hurry. I don't recommend anyone getting brake fluid anywhere near their paint so I used extreme caution. Use at your own risk! Some say amonia works too.

Default acetone

Acetone works very well. I removed the adhesive with it after peeling off the tint.

But again don't get acetone on paint, plastic or carpet.
