94 blk/blk coupe. I have read several posts about people that want to leave their hoods up so they pull out the bulbs or install in line switches on their underhood lights. Is there any reason not just to unplug lights on each side when you want them off? This seemed too easy so there must be a reason I'm missing.........
There is a single 10A fuse you can remove to kill the underhood lights and it's much easier than unplugging the individual leads. Look for a fuse holder located behind the side marker lamp housing and in front of the round vacuum canister located in the left front headlamp well.
The clip for the fuse holder is at the bottom of the holder. Release the clip, pull down the fuse holder and remove the fuse. Keep the fuse in the console for safekeeping and reinstallation.

On my '96 I used to unplug the lights on each side but found it simpler to pull the fuse on the left front corner under the hood. The location is described in the owner's manual.
removing the fuse is the simplest and easiest way.
Yeah it is but only for the first time. If you want to have them on one day but not the next, wiring in a switch is the easiest way (once you wire it in anyways.)..
I just pulled the fuse on mine once I found out about it. Don't really have a need for the lights anyway and now I can leave my hood open w/o worring about the battery draining.
