Tow straps or tire straps? can't tell - you mention both.

Ratcheting tie down straps - heavy duty 2.5 - 3 inches wide can be had at home depot relatively cheap. costco has em even cheaper if you can find them. Harbor Freight has tow straps and Tie downs very cheap - I use em and they work fine - but there will be disention on this point - cheap made in China stuff - no good - etc.

Both Summit Racing and Jeg's has tire straps for holding the car on trailers. Go to www.summitracing.com and in the search box, enter these part numbers:
SUM-G7950
SUM-G7955
HIG-12707
HIG-91711
HIG-12750
HIG-12755

If you use the over-the-wheel tie-downs, you should also have another strap or chain (front and back) attached to the frame and to a ring on the trailer floor.

Also check out trailer sales places and RV shops. You should be able to find good strap setups there.

Best I can say how to explain it is...

On the front, open the hood - where the inside of the fenderwell starts to curve back around, reach all the way down and under and you will feel the oval hole inthe tab fromthe frame - one is on each side.

On the back, lay on your back and put your chin at the FRONT of the REAR tire - look up and in front of the suspension, you will see it hanging down slightly - again, it is an oval in a tab hanging down from the frame, one on each side.

Hope this helps - I have the blue straps from Jegs
