Default Had Fun Today.....

Before work I got to take out a slightly modded 04 Cobra convertible (Old fox body) from SVT..... Damn thing is fast!!!!!! I will never complain about how lose my Ruby feels with the top off again!!!! Talk about cowl shake... OMG!!!!!!!!! It only had 5K on the od, I bet they were hard ones too.. Of course I added a few... I love rowing thru the gears, just wish my Vette was a 6spd. I think it was the tires doing much of the road holding chores!! They had on sticky BFG's on Ford Racing rims...

Sorry for the confussion.... Not a Fox body, but it still has the Fox chassis... In other words, its not the new Mustang on the LS platform.

Default Sounds like you had a great time!

Mustang or not, fast is fast. And fast is fun.
Oh... just for the record, I wish my 93 was a 6 speed, too.

I don't wish that my '95 was a six speed.... I DO however wish that there was a dark purple metallic/ black guts LT4 sitting in the garage next to it though!

More power is only a big check away! Automatics are for blowing off manuals in a straight line. Manuals are for the pure essence of driving enjoyment. Thats why I want one of each....

I could not agree more with you!!!! I want a 91 (love the newer body style) so I can get a L98 w/6spd... Mini ram intake sitting on top of a 383 with a nice little Vortec T-trim blowing 12 psi!!!!! sighhhh
Then give the wife the A4 Ruby to drive and look good in!!! She doesn't like manuals...

Default 04 Cobra SVT Rocks

I own two vettes including an 02 with mods. My son in law in San Diego Let me drive his Cobra. My daughter has a 99 GT. I was never impressed with the Gt but ,oh brother ,that Cobra hauls butt and handles great. 390 stock HP. and an independant suspension. I would not get rid of my vettes but I would not be a bit ashamed of having one of those in my stable. He is putting on a twin screw supercharger and should be around 550 hp when he is done. Gotta love that son in law!

Well that Cobra really set ya back in the seat!! The tires really hooked in tha car... At a 10mph roll I barely got a chirp out of the tires when I dumped it with boost.
Minor mods and that car really turns on!!! Has a stout bottom end to. Ford really over built the motor to handle the blower. The older 4.6 4V's were all aluminum and could easily handle 450hp. The 03 Cobra got an iron block and really good rods and pistons. I've heard it is good up to 600hp easily.
