I do agree, but i think that these numbers are way to high, i mean i can get a lt1 with trans for about 1000-1,500,
I'm confused, first you say the reason you don't want to go to your "friend" who deals with wrecked/project vettes is because he doesn't get any LT4's, but you are now saying you don't care if it has an LT4 in it? Which is it. And yes you can get a LT1 for $1000-$1500, but thats not an LT4, which is the reason you say you want this in the first place. If its just an LT1 you want then there are plenty out there for $7-9K .
Oh I just re-read the post, you said LT1 AND ZF6 for $1000 or $1500 at most? Please let me know where that 'working low mile' set up is, I'd like to double my money within a week.
The car is definitely worth buying, TO PART OUT. The rear end/suspension and front suspension will show you a profit. Then you can sell the interior stuff. But thats all its good for, that or a dedicated race/track car.
