I'm looking to touch-up some discolored and stained interior parts on my 93. I ordered a can of spray from Ecklers. It works great but is a hair too light colored. Anybody have better experiences or ideas?
It may be that the parts have discolored. I was going to do the same thing to my seat backs on my 93. I just received in the rear door sill trim pieces and they are original GM parts from Chevy. They were considerably lighter in color then the 12 year old trim parts. I myself was hoping that the paint was a shade lighter so that now the other parts could be matched back to the original color.
I'm not sure I just noticed my new 93 trim pieces were slightly lighter. Now on my rear pillar trim in areas where the it shows wear, its much darker in those spots.
I kind of figured the plastic would behave more like what many of of see happen to plastics of computer cases and such. Ever notice how those beige cases are so nice when new but after a couple of years the fade very dark and discolored. So I naturally assumed the plastic trim in mine was basically behaving the same. I'm going to be over there next weekend to pick up some trim paint and we certainly comment on the results of some test before doing the seat backs and pillar trim.
