LT4 C4 vs. Evo

I was on a local Fbody forum and this guy (fbody owner
) claims to have spanked a C6 with a Mitsubishi Evo with only a cold air intake and a larger turbo pipe. It was clear by his story that the was full of monkey dung as he swears he saw the vette guy later test driving one Anyway, I raced an Evo at the track last month and absolutely stomped a mud hole in him... so I stated as such. Now I got 4 people calling me a superficial Corvette snob

If memory serves me, the Evo ran a 14.2 to my 13.5. I can't find any published performance numbers on the internet for the Evo so I was wondering if anyone else has raced one or if you know the performance numbers for them.
Any help is greatly appreciated... especially if I can get it before I get banned from that forum.
EDIT = [i]Nevermind, I went back to talk more trash and the moderators have already closed the thread and sent it packing.
I guess they don't want some arrogant Corvette owner to rain on their idiot parade.

But there are a couple special models like the HKS that run 12.8s.
I believe the 04 RS model runs low 13s.

With some light mods as stated they can be in the high 12s. To really get good numbers out of them involves dropping the clutch at high RPMs. That's the one big advantage of AWD, it just hooks. As far as spanking a C6, I find it a little hard to believe.

the subarus and the evo's are WAY overated the 5.4 0-60 the 227hp wrx claims is such a joke why? my friend has a java black 04 wrx that I've made look silly SO many times....it runs 14.9 with exhaust and intake, I have many videos of me pulling like 7 car lenghts on that little thing and yes he knows how to launch a stick.
the evo's seem to be a little more on target with what they claim but not near like people seem to think..
The clutch is the weakest link.
i owned an 04 evo for almost a year. Their 60 foot times are very very quick if you drive it correctly
Bone stock.. i ran a 13.48, and with a boost controller, catback, and flash, i was runnin a 12.94.
The C6 will absolutely chew the evo up in a long race. Even with the new 6speed gearbox, the evo doesn't have the top end to keep up with a new vette.
And 0-60 times in the EVO were in the 4 second range. Unfortunetly, to get an EVO to net a good qtr mile time or a low 4 second 0-60, you really have to beat on it. The stock clutch won't stand up for very long if you try this too much.
I liked the evo, BUT.. even with the mods, unless you launch in the boost.. you aren't going to launch quickly. And launching in the boost results in broken parts.
Got rid of the evo when the clutch went (at 9k miles). Once you have an aftermarket clutch, the mfg won't warranty the drivetrain. The Transfer cases in these cars aren't bullet proof. I had my fun with it, then got rid of it.
boost is nice.. but low end torque from a powerful v8 engine is just awesome!

Im guessin you let em have too
