Those of you who are using the KwikLift please be advised that the floor jack cup size and grooves are extremely important. The instructions are clear on this but I made the mistake of using a floor jack with small ridges on the cup. You don't want what happened to me to happen to you. While I was lowering the lift to back the car down, the curved bar attached to the lift slipped off the jack and the lift came crashing down. Luckily, I was not injured at all and the jack positioned itself on the exhaust flange and did not hurt the car. I'm going out today to find a more appropriate jack.
My wife bought me that lift for Christmas. Already loving it!!
I read the instructions and noticed that also.
Fortunately, I own a racing jack with a very wide gaps on the cap.
If you read the instructions, all you need to do is grind the gaps on the cup down to the appropriate depth. You also have to have a certain size cup. If it's too small, then grinding the shallow cup won't help.
The diminsions are provided in the instructions.
