Base or No Option C4
6 – Speed Transmission.
Removable Roof Panel, Color Coded.
Cloth Seats.
Manually Adjusted Seats.
But what about things like AC, PW, PL, PA and AM/FM with Cassette. I’ve never seen a C4 without these options?
What would a no option C4 consist of?
please correct me if i am wrong
I'm not sure, I'm trying to figure out what a no option or very low option '89 whould have as equipment.

4-speed automatic (6-speed manual was a no-cost option)
ABS
cloth seats
air conditioning
AM/FM stereo cassette w/4 speakers (there was a grand total of 1 radio delete)
power locks
power heated mirrors
power steering
power windows
cruise control
rear defogger
tilt/telescopic steering
More than half of 1989 coupes had these options added (from most popular to least popular):
power driver seat (96%)
electronic air conditioning (92%)
Delco-Bose stereo (91%)
leather base seats (84%)
heavy duty radiator (79%)
radiator boost fan (77%)
engine oil cooler (77%)
power passenger seat (75%)
driver vanity mirror (62%)
blue transparent lift off panel (52%)
A 'true' low-option Vette would have:
-base suspension
-either transmission
-Delco (non-Bose) stereo
-manual climate control
-manual standard seats (not sure if cloth was available in 89 or not)
-solid targa top
If you're looking at the numbers though, what would normally be considered low-option, the most common cars out there, would be something more like this:
-base suspension
-A4 transmission
-Bose CD player (Bose Gold when available)
-automatic climate control
-power standard seats (not sport, just 6-way adjustible)
-either top
The Delco stereo and manual climate control are the killers - they are extremely rare and IMO quite valuable. The Delco stereo option is much more reliable and easier to convert to aftermarket than the Bose system, espeicall 90+. The manual climate control is (reportedly) more reliable and easier to repair.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
All it has is bose (which sucks) and climate control... it even has cloth seats!!!!
He has 9 Red, White and Blue stars and I could only find three post started by him.
I'm here to tell they got to be one rare bird because I couldn't find one!!! My parts collection still has a new in GM pkg. Radio delete plate for one of these cars! Okay I admit maybe a little weird. Comes from having a couple of weird option mid-years and an 68 L-88
