Default Paint questions?

I am looking into buying a 96 that has a scrape on the rear bumper and one on the front bumper
where it looks like someone hit a curb. In addition the line of the front bumper does not follow
the hood so I think that the same accident effected the alignment (I hope) it hasn't been in an
accident though. Anyway if I get the bumpers painted and realigned by a body shop will it show
on a carfax as an accident? Also can bumping a curb on the side force the bumper into the hood
causing this misalignment?

Thanks, Hopeful buyer SVX

to get the lines to match is doable and any good body shop can make it work. (just don't watch)

carfax report depends on what was reported by dmv and insurance company's. run the vin on carfax before you buy, it won't tell you everything but it will give you a good start. you can also run the vin on nada.com. get all the info you can. good luck

Gosh this is an interesting one, pictures I think would certainly help. How does it drive? A Corvette will track and follow the road, I would think that any minor variation in the suspension or frame due to an accident would show up in a test drive.

I think I'd spend the $'s and pull a carfax, if it comes up clean you can probably presume that it didn't make it into the system for whatever reason (having a friend in the biz repair
it perhaps).

Seems like an awful lot of structural movement would be needed to pull seam lines out and perhaps serious enough that the quicky repair knew that which may be the reason it's on the market.

Okay, I wnet back and took some pictures. This time around I noticed that the light on the side that is pushed in a little is also pushed in a little, it's not looking good. Does anyone have a carfax? I guess I should just buy one. If anyone does it is 1G1YY2259T5108343. Well I guess I can't post pics here Guess I'll E-mail them to you Thanks again, SVXr

If you want email a few to me, my address is in my profile. My mailbox is limited to 10MB so keep that in mind. I can host them back on to this thread.

Just curious what are some of the primary specs, is this a vert, 6-spd/auto, mileage, overall condition, what price range? I'll look today, I have a book that describes the places to look at for evidence of frame work or damage. Off the top of my head, I would surely look inside the engine well at the frame for marks from tools, same for underneath.
