Default "To fix list" help

Greetings,
Still learning what gets posted where, so if this isn't the right place my apologies...
Had my '91 for about a week now and have prioritized some of my "gotta fix it's"
jack and wrench: e-bay, CHECK
Lighted mirror: local salvage yard, CHECK
sport seats: damn they were expensive, CHECK
car cover: local shop, CHECK
power antenna fixed: CHECK
headliner: should be done by the end of the week (half check )

next things I could use some help on:
-My back up lights dont work (bulbs/ fuses are good)-was told there was a "switch to flip on the transmission that turns them on"???
-My tach is zero at power on, but at 4500 at idle and buries itself to the R while driving. Engine isn't screaming or anything, tach just "reads off".
-passenger side door has a key busted off inside the lock barrel, cheaper to get it fixed / removed or just buy new handles/ dor keys???
-power door locks go "clunk" and both locks move, but neither engage. could this be due to the barrel being occupied on the passenger side or do I need new actuators?

Thanks folks...
I am going to work on her finish this week...previous owner was a firm believer in his local carwash and the finish has the fine linear scratches of ten thousand nylon beater strings
pics to follow once she is a bit more "presentable"

Yes, there is a switch, but you don't "flip" it - it screws into the side of the transmission and activated by the linkage. I recently had the same symptoms and had to replace it. Do a search, there are some directions on how to do it.

On my new to me '91, it shows 3000 at idle. I posted and was left with two directions to look at. One being the tach filter, and the second being the tach itself.
I hope that you are having at least 1/2 as much fun as I am with my new toy.

Thanks Bob-
I did a search for back-up lights, reverse lights, rear end lights and missed it somehow.
Any guidance on a more appropriate search term would be appreciated!!!

Thanks Sandrider-
I'll do a search for your posts as well! And yep, LOTS of smiles
