Just installed a set of new front pads and the calipers seem to have a little play in them even after running them for a couple of weeks. If you reach through the wheel and grab the caliper you can move it in and out and when driving at a very low speed you can feel them clunk when the brakes are applied. Anybody got any ideas. They are Bendix Titanium pads.
Not to scare you, but some guys at the track had their pins fall out and the caliper wedged itself in the wheel. Nobody ever got hurt, but I'm sure it's scary.

Did that to my rear driver side on an 01 Z28 I owned, after having it serviced. Sure tore up the inside of the chrome wheel before I came to a stop. Just one pin fell out though. The other stayed in.
Also make sure you installed those little "C" clip things that help to prevent the floating calipers from moving around.
On my old car, I didn't put those "C" clip things back on when I changed pads and the calipers rattled on bumps and I felt a slight clunk when the brakes were applied. I installed the C clips and everything was good. No more rattles or clunks.

Thanks Ed - not quite sure what C clips you are talking about, but I will check my manual this afternoon. I didn't see any when I took them off. Ordered new pins, washers and e-clips from GM yesterday, expect to see them today.
