A few years ago I was driving my 226ES Baja back from Lake Michigan in Grand Haven to the launch ramp in Spring Lake. It was after dark and a car had caught fire on the US31 drawbridge. We boaters had to stop and were unable to go under the bridge as burning gasoline and other debris was raining from the metal grating into the river! It made quite a light display!

yep that's the one.
Last year I was driving South in VA on I-81. It was my maiden voyage in my new-to-me '95. I was coming up on a large construction vehicle doing maybe 55, I was doing about 70. I was maybe 6 car lengths behind him when he dropped a drive (maybe a PTO) shaft. No kidding, u-joints, flanges and the shaft, which was only about 2-3 feet long, bouncing all over the road. The debris missed me but a BMW sedan behind me had one of those bouncing beauties bounce up under his car and take out his oil pan. It was a mess.
Driving down the Interstate one day, I came up over a small rise in the road. On the other side was a "walker" (like the Sr. citizens use) sitting in the middle of both lanes. I had just enough time to swirve to avoid it.
