I used to go up there alot but havent been in a year or so. I live an hour away from it and I guess I take it for granted. You may get more replies to this over in the southeast section too.
One of my old military buds and I are planning a trip up there in late August. We'll be riding sportbikes. I've been checkin out the "Tail of the Dragon" website a good bit lately. I have only two words.......HOLY ****!!! If I make it through the bike trip in one piece, I'll definitely be taking the Vette up there one weekend.
We ride it a couple times yearly on the GoldWing when we vacation in the Tennessee mountains. Love the Dragon....

Remember, when you go...there's an "on the spot" fine of 1000.00 for excessive speeding and careless driving now on the parkway and surrounding areas. Best you have the money...or walk.
I use to go up there 2 or 3 times a week on my sportbike , it is a great experiance for anyone , motorcycle or vette. To all first timers , just when you think you've got the dragon trained it will bite you hard!!!! BE CAREFULL , I've seen many first timers , well I'll leave it at that HAVE FUN !!!!!!!!
It's a 2 wheeler road now. There are much better roads in the Asheville, Gaffney, and Anderson triangle. Look for Ceasar's Head on Rt 276. The traffic is much better. Our Club goes up there a couple of times a year, it's just what Vettes were designed to drive on.
