Default Ignition Wire Question?

I just finished replacing my ignition wires and I have a question. I pulled the new wires through the exact routing as the factory wires by attaching string to the old wires. I pulled out the old wire leaving the string in place of the old wire. Then I attached the string to the new wire and by pulling the string the new wire was now located exactly where the old one was. I repeated this process for each wire. The question I have is how much space should there be between each wire? I know that if they touch there will be arching. There is no way that some of the wires are not touching each other at some point along their paths. I did use the wire looms to seperate each wire and that's okay for that location. What happens where there are no looms? Thanks for any help.

There will be no arcing on your new wires where they contact each other because all that is in contact is the wire insulation. Old, cracked and brittle ones you can get arcing but you should not on a new set.

What you mean is cross firing, voltage in one wire inducing voltage in the one next to it. The skinny on this is: Don't have 2 wires that fire in order run next to each other (ie #8 & 4). If they must go across each other, arrange them so they cross at right angles.
