Hi, just thought that I would share this, not sure if anyone has used them yet or is interested. I hope that the pics come up because I am having trouble with posting pics for some reason. Either way I already mounted the driver's side right above the emergency brake handle and when the holder is closed the emergency brake handle is still usable. If anyone else has a better solution for a cup holder please share. I am going to paint the holders just in case your wondering.

I have to keep hydrated especially when I take the top off and cruise in the sun. I actually bought them in the boating section at Walmart, I just wish they had the black ones but of course they didnt, it just couldnt be that easy now could it. Oh well.
Looks good-but I have to wonder if you are a "littler guy" than I am. There isn't much room on that left side to scoot a Menehune Water bottle OUT of the cupholder between door and human.
Snazzy idea though-and for just $5-it may be worth a try
I understand about the cup-holder-deficiency in C4s, but this isn't how I'd solve it. I don't want anything between me and my E-brake. I've had the none-too-fun experience of a complete hydraulic failure more than once in years past, and the E-brake saved my bacon each time.

That's what I was thinking... I've had to use the e-brake to stop once after a master cylinder failure... Luckily it wasn't at any high speed, but it was enough that I never leave anything in the way of me getting to it in an emergency...
I was thinking about getting one of those aftermarket ones from Ecklers or the other big one (name escapes me at the moment)... If it's a little deeper than the stock holes...
The loss of useful cup holders was a pretty big drawback for me in getting a 6spd car...
