What does "Triple Black" mean???

What does "Triple Black" mean???

I should probably know this, but I'm a little confused when people talk about car colors.

If someone says "Black and black" I assume it's Black exterior paint and black interior.

When someone says "Triple Black" what are the three components they're referring too?

So when someone says "Black, Black" When talking about a car with Black paint and Gray interior, they are in fact, WRONG!

Good, I thought they were mispoken.

Black would be the exterior color. It is wrapped over white (interior).

Black = exterior
White = interior

Unless it's a convertible then:

Black = top
White = exterior

"black over white" would be a poor way to describe a car's colors IMO. getting that as a response would lead to "huh?" most of the time.
