well the corvette is a base coupe with the optional lt4 and zf 6 speed. i want to know how it compares to the
GHO - 3.54 axle ratio
GM1 - 2.59 Rear Axle Ratio
GM3 - 3.45 Rear Axle Ratio (8.5 in. Ring Gear)
GT7 - 3.33 rear axle ratio
GU2 - 2.73 Rear Axle Ratio
im not exactly sure which gears go with which transmition. im preatty new to corvettes but im trying to learn. id like to know how they rate

The 3.45 was the only rear offered with the ZF6 speed transmission, (except ZR1's) and (I think) the 4+3 on 1985-1988 models.
2.59 was the standard rear on all automatics. 3.07 was the performance rear offered with autos.
I think the 3.54 was used in 1984 and again with the ZR1's of 1990 -1995 but I'm not sure.
I don't think the 3.33 or the 2.79 was used in Corvettes.
3.54 was an option in some early years even after 3.45 became standard.
3.45 was all that was offered for the 96 manual though, and most would tell you its not enough for that engine. LT's require alot of gear to realize their full potential, so 4.10's would probably be a better choice, and it would give a more useful 6th gear.
