Vette Magazines

for many reasons - Probably the most relevant here, is the editor has pledged to get C4 stuff in there whenever he can
I subcribe to CF and Vette too, but C.E. is the one I read cover to cover 3 x's over

The team at Corvette Enthusiast demonstrate more personal attention and knowkedge of our sport/hobby than most of the other current car rags. When they talk about Vettes it's about 99% on target and I always get the feeling that these guys are as much interested in our Vattes as we are. Can't think of another magazine that pleases me more of the time! for many reasons - Probably the most relevant here, is the editor has pledged to get C4 stuff in there whenever he can

Any word on Callaway or the mag for July?
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I won't even look at the others unless I know someone from here will be in it.
Corvette Enthusiast has broke out to be the top magazine in the industry(and I'm not just saying that because I know lots of people on the staff).
Hot Rod and Fourwheeler are still my #1 magazines though.
I can't stand the drivel that Corvette Fever and Vette publish. It reads like one big advertisement. It's like they are afraid to be honest about the shortfalls and problems with these cars.
I simply hate it when articles start with banal crap like "enthusiasts (you know who you are!)"... the issue that ended it for me was when Vette (I think, they are both primedia pubs), did a story on Vette's and servicemens wives. It had 5 pages or so of women, in skimpy outfits, carrying guns. How right wing, G. Gordon Liddy can you get? It was just a waste of paper.
And after 9/11 (a total and complete tragidy, don't get me wrong), but both mags started to "honour" our soldiers, police and firemen. After a while, it was like a jam song in a concert, they couldn't figure out how to end it.
I just got tired of articles about some bottle blonde chicky with a pink 87 vert w/leopard skin seat covers, thinking it's something special... the mags took on the editorial quality of a local club newsletter. Junk. (this is not an insult to club newsletters, most don't get the benefit of professional writers).
I read Corvette Magazine and sometimes Enthusiast. I still find CE can drift to close to the edge in the drivel department... but they are trying to steer clear.
I wish primedia would merge CF and Vette into one GOOD publication. I see no reason to have 2 POSs out there.
These poor mags and their lack of C4 coverage is the reason we have created www.c4guru.com. It's going to be cool... join. It's free.

Vette and Corvette Fever are both published by the same company (Primedia). Vette was based in California, but recently moved to Florida (where CF is based) so there will be some changes in the staff. (I don't know if that will be for the better). I believe Vette is supposedly going to concentrate on "rodded" vettes, while CF on more factory oriented restos. They both tend to spend a lot of time on the latest generation Corvette.

I also like a small publication called "Vette Vues" published in Florida that mostly caters mostly to the restoration and C1-C3 crowd. I find the articles seriously interesting, because I'm currently saving up to buy a '65 or '66 Coupe and will be doing lots of restoration work myself.
Corvette Enthusiast seems to be closer to the drivers among us, and isn't just about NCRS perfection.
dont know what some of you guys see in corvette enthusiast, but they had articles with different names from 10 years ago in CF.

Corvette Fever is a good read. Same for Vette.
