hi! my water temp guage got very close to the danger marks today and i can see some trash on the radiator front.my question is how can i blow the fins out so air will flow better. my cooling fans also come on when the car is started and go off when it is shut down.is this normal? the antifreeze dip stick also reads cold when it is hot.i appreciate any comments-----bw

In my opinion you may have multipale problems going on ! I would have a trained mechanic inspect your corvette and give you some solid information on whats going on. Then take a look at what he says and do as much of it yourself and there you go !

pull the top of the fan shroud off,you will be amazed at how much trash gets between the radiator and condensor.

This tells me you are low on coolant.

Hold a fan blade and blast water from a garden hose backwards through your radiator, but far better is to pull the stuff out of your radiator after removing the shroud.
