No MPH ?
Hi. I have a 1987 corvette. Yesterday I got on it and at 117 MPH the speedo went completely black and service engine light came on. After I shut it down for a while the speedo reads 0 and will not move. The service engine light is off now. Do I need new dash gauges? I know there is a speed sensor on the trans. What does it take to change the sensor? Thanks Jim

Jim, I assume you checked fuses? I doubt you need new guages. If it were me I'd check to see if the computer stored any codes.I suppose it could be the speed sensor, I haven't had to replace mine, and my Gordon Killebrew book is packed with the rest-we're moving, so I can't take a look there-sorry.
