Been thinking of picking one of these up http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=3.163.708. Is it worth the extra $$, or should I go with the static film shade? Please give opinions on quality, fit, etc. Thanks in advance.
Do not go with the static film shade. It really is hard to get smoothed out and flat. It kind of looks cheesey. I am also considering getting the blackout above.

We've owned eight C4s; seven of which were Coupes. Five were in So Cal and three since moving to the Pacific NW. Guess that makes us somewhat experts in glass top C4s (or at our ages maybe we just can't stand the sun beating down on us). We tried the static cling film on the 1st one in '84 with total disappointment. ALL 7 of the coupes had/have been equipped with the Mid America Headliner Blackouts. We use it more and more each year and consider it one of the best $$$ we ever spent on any of the C4s.
I asked this same question a while ago and I got a very negative response from one person who said the lining fell off and the pull strap ripped out after only a few times. I am using the dot matrix one now and if you take your time, make sure the surface is very clean, and smooth it out with a slightly damp sponge it actually works pretty well and doesn't look too bad. However, now that I've heard some positive feedback on it, I might have to give the blackout a try.
Does anyone know if this headliner can be used on a non glass top? I thought I could use it instead of reglueing new headliner fabric to the top on a non glass top.
