The wife and kids bought me a CD Changer for my '93 as a Father's Day Gift. It's mounted in the back and modulated through an FM station.
Best Buy did the install...and now my brake lights don't work.
The 3rd brake light works...and the tail lights work with the other lights, as well as the emergency flashers. Just not the brake lights.
Any ideas??? The car is back at Best Buy right now...but I am not expecting these guys to figure it out.
The brake light switch at the base of the steering column has two separate wires for service brake lights and the 3rd brake light. It sounds like either a loose wire for the service brake lights or that part of the contacts in the switch is bad.
If B-B had to go under the dash (and remove the hushpanel) they could have loosened the connector or pulled a wire out.
I don't see where they would have had to go under the dash. All they did was add a CD changer in the back, and hooked it up to the Bose Tuner behind the passenger seat.
