My 91 has what looks like a red light mounted in the console between the power seat controls. I thought some previous owner had added it for what ever. I just saw one one on eBay with the exact same deal! Is this a factory deal and what is it?
I have a similar one on the left side of the steering column, infront of the gauges. Untill I disconnected it, it would flash when the alarm was armed.
I wired my LED, to a SuperBright LED, and put it in the DIC, behind the SECURITY word, so, now when I arm my alarm, SECURITY flashes on the dash. Pretty neat little trick.

It's a "Murphy Laws" light. It starts blinking just before your Corvette is about to go to hell in a hand basket..... costing you as much $ as possible at the worst possible time. Mine goes off all the time.
