Thanks Everyone!
It is amazing, the pictures don't do the candy pearl justice. I cannot believe the difference it made. The red was okay, but an inferior paint job, getting her painted properly, she is like BAM now.
The color is Sonic Blue, the paint code is SN. I think it was mixed +2 shades darker tint, I don't remember off the top of my head. I have the formula somewhere, but any shop should be able to mix it from the code.
Thanks again, just wanted to share!
Oh yeah, the louvers can be found HERE
Looks very, very nice
When I first saw the Red pics, I thought you mixed up the title as it still looked good.
What was that on the steering wheel in the interior shot(last pic)? Looked like a garter belt?
Doug, Nice paint job congratulations. After you have driven the car for a while could you tell us how well the hood louvers work to rid the engine compartment of heat? I think a fair amount of people would be interested in them depending on how well they work. Thanks Jim

I thought the original color looked really good on the car. And the BAM! The blue is fantastic. But that may have something to do with my preference for blue cars.
Bring it up to Vettes on the Square in Independence in Aug. would love to see it in person.
Do you have any more close up pics of how you did the mesh in the louvers and what kind you used? I just might have to add that touch.
Magoo, I can get you some pictures, I even may have some mesh left if you wanna wait. I have one more thing I need some for and not sure how much I need. You can get it at Lowes, it is the aluminum or stainless steel gutter guard mesh. Cut it to about the general shape you need and you can bend it how you want. We bent mine up into the hole, and then back around the lip. Use some panelbond on the backside to glue it in place. You can paint them if you want, just use an etching primer first. My buddy thought the silver went better with the stripe, and I couldn't agree more!
