Work just said I may be deployed overseas after all.
So, I’m looking for a place to store all my stuff and my car long term
I just wish they would have told me before I moved all my stuff out here!
So what’s my best bet?
Brian:

We are located a mile from MTMC/Baltimore Outport on I-95.You can go to our website @ www.humcoinc.com and click on CONTROLLED VEHICLE STORAGE We have been storing classic, exotic and vehicles for corporate and government agencys for over 28 years. Good luck, and if you have any questions, contact me off the website or IM me on the Corvette Forum.

I checked out a couple of places, both will let me drive the car inside, and there's plenty of room for both my stuff ( 1bdrm apt with alot of boxes ) and the car, own and a 20ft trimaran .
So, which would be better
a 10x27 for $209 or
a 15-20 for $219

Palmdale will be wayyyy cheaper for storage. Now, whether or not everything can bake inside a storage unit... I dunno.
Get the 15x20 You can park on one side and pack all the **** on the other side.
I can store your vette for you in my garage next to mine. I'll also take it autocrossing on Sundays to keep it fresh. You just pay for tires. We got a deal?

How long will you be away? If it is a year or less you may be okay. I purchased a vehicle that had been in storage for 3 years. It was a big Ford Bronco with 16,000 miles on it. It looked new but in the next 18 months literally every seal on that vehicle started leaking. The money I had saved by purchasing a low mileage vehcile was soon gone for all the maintenance I had to have done to it. I guess what I am saying is it isn't good for seals to sit for long periods without lubrication. Good luck.

I looked at a third place.
It's in a corner so it's a weird shape, but it's over 10ft wide 20ft deep on one side and 30ft deep on the other, for $275/mo, and if I pay for a year up front two months are free.
There's even rafters to tie up the kayak, so that can go above the car. It's in a white collar business area, away from the main drag. It's also on the way to work. When they offer to pro-rate me for the rest of the month, I took it. Now I can start taking over some stuff so I'm not doing it all at once.
