Keyless Remote Question

An even cheaper fix to the problem....purchase a Viper car alarm. I bought my alarm new off of ebay for $170.00 and the remote has a keyless entry and an auxiliary button that pops the hatch. Not to mention, you get the added protection of the Viper alarm.

certain models share remotes, you have to findout what code on the back of the fob for your year is. Call your local Chevy dealer and ask if they have one, your best bet is the used cars. Having said that, the PKE system was only used on Vettes and I believe a couple of years of Caddies, then it was abandoned by Chevy. I sold Chevy's and most remotes are interchangable with like year models, hence they were mass produced and cheap, vettes on the other hand are not mass produced, ergo costly.
