Gee... Totally forgot...

My buddy Kenny took me to work that day and then drove me from there to NJ to pick it up from it's prior owner, a cool guy named Joe.
Just so you all know, I did pay his toll and bought dinner.
So much has happened since then...
I lost my job...
Got another job...
Visited the Pentagon and Ground Zero with the Stars and Stripes tour...
Met bastet44...
Lost my brother...
Quit my job...
Moved to California to be with bastet44...
Rebuilt the engine in bastet44s 87 coupe...
Still in CA... and still looking for a real job...
Would I change anything? Yes. See the comment about my brother.
What I have I learned?
1) Corvettes are expensive. But not unaffordable. Just unass $120.00 and buy the damned Helm Manual. www.helminc.com. It's the best investment you can make.
2) Dave McClellan and his engineering team were smoking dope. It should not take nearly 2 hours to change valve cover gaskets. How ignorant.
3) Take your time... and buy the right tools. It will save ulcer creation later on.
4) Aluminum Single Mass Flywheels suck. So does the Dual Mass. There must be a happy medium.
5) Hurst shifters rule. So do beam plates.
6) LTCC rocks. OptiSpark sucks.
7) Speaker install requires a lot of creativity.
8) Factory GM replacement parts are really no better then Autozone or Kragen. Just more expensive.
9) Kumho tires rock. I don't care if they are Korean. They rock.
10) R-D Racing makes some of the best aftermarket chassis bits, period. And Dave is a great guy.
11) Chris May is the best source of those junky GM parts... his prices are great and his service is second to none.
12) www.gmpartsdirect.com has a very handy website... but their S&H charges genuinely stink.
13) Summit Racing is cool. You must visit a retail store sometime. Reno or Talmadge.
14) Too damned many people are unaware there is an audio section... Audio/Electronics
15) Bose blows.
16) There are so many cool people here, I can't list them all. However, A short list of those I consider friends, and are thinking of right now, if I forgot a few, sorry (in alphabetical order, just more fair that way!):
89x2, 89 Paul in Cal, 92roadster, alcee1, Arisa, bradvette, bruthish, bmwgsa, BrianCunningham, Caboboy, CentralCoaster, CFI-EFI, Chuck87, corvetteronw, cuisinartvette, GalaxyEng, Ivory90, j3studio, JAKE, JB666, JCAIRE2, jsup, justardnck, Kale, korvette4u, kwik_ta, larzus, LPDesRoche, mako69, McShagger, Mr Mojo, NOX, Onedef92, Nelson V., Pigface1, PatrickLT4, raysur, Red 90 L98 Coupe, Rex Ruby, rocco16, Scorp508, Scoob, Sleazy Vette, strick, Tom Piper, TJ Wong, Wake, WILLZ,
and the entire Stars and Stripes tour gang! What a few days that I will never forget.
There is an entire bunch in OT, but just too many to remember now... sorry... Then again, this is about the C4, right?
No Ordinary 91, I will never forget you. Rest in Peace, my friend.
Most importantly, bastet44.
That's all I got, gang!
Thanks! And here's to many more years!!!

And who is Chris May with well-priced GM parts?

My most recent crab trip was the best one yet(except of course the one where you brought Bastet44 and when Opium and Arisa showed up).
Today we will have Supercharger John's 3rd Annual Monster mega 4th of July Bash(which I cohost) and it looks to be the best one yet.
Everyone, have a great weekend.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Chris is awesome!!!

Chris is awesome!!!
Chris
Interesting observations about the results of ownership and anyone who has owned a C4 can pretty much agree (and sympathize) with them.
I went back and looked at my paperwork, and it turns out I've had my 92 roadster for 8 years and 3 months
Guess time flies when you're having fun with the car
