My car has a very slight top end tick, 96 LT1. Never really noticed it until I heard it in the garage. Are noisy injectors common. I wouldn't think I'd be getting any lifter noise at 65K.
Try one of those 'stethescopes', they sell them in auto parts stores.
When I think theres something wrong, I put them on and check everything, like a doctor. But make sure the nieghbors don't see you do this,
if they don't know anything about cars, they will think your nuts
Definitely not an exhaust leak. Its very slight. Does anyone else hear a slight tick with their LT1. I have two other GM's with 5.7L and those vehicles are silent except for the belt and pulleys. Maybe its time for that exhaust I was thinking about. Once that is on you'll never hear it.

A STETHASCOPE IS NICE BUT A SCREWDRIVER WILL DO THE SAME THING
THEN THE NEIGHBORS WILL REALLY THINK YOUR NUTS WITH YOUR EAR ON THE END OF A SCREWDRIVER

Mine sounds like a sewing machine in the garage. I though a little tic was OK but
Some brands are louder than others. The old Multecs sounded like 1 or 2 rockers were badly out of adjustment. The new Bosch's are loud, but work great. After awhile you don't hear them anymore.
