The driver's door on my '88 seems to close too far "in". Once closed I can only open it from inside and with some difficulty. I assume the inner handle gets more movement on the release than the outer one. This plus the rear edge of the door sets inside the body line a little leads me to conclude it is closing to far. This wasn't a problem for the two years I've owned the car until now. Could be it has something to do with removing the door inner panel and outer lower weather strip (prep for paint).
I was going to adjust the striker. Does this make sense?
None of my torx bits seemed to fit the striker. Special size?
YOU CAN MOVE THE STRIKER OUT SOME, I BELIEVE THE TORX IS A 55
ARE YOU SAYING THAT YOU HAVE NO WEATHERSTRIPPING ON THE DOOR? IF THIS IS THE CASE THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM DONT ADJUST YOUR STRIKER THEN OR IT WILL BE OFF WHEN YOU PUT THE NEW STRIPPING BACK ON
