I recently scored a set of emblems for my '93, which is great because my fuel door emblem is for the wrong year (84-90 or so) and my front is faded terribly.
I know there's been a million threads on how to remove them, but the search was unkind.
My big question is not the removal (heat and fishing line), but what I should use to re-adhere the new ones to the car. Any suggestions?
Im pretty sure you dont have to use anything to adhere the emblems just use the stock nuts that you take off of the old ones and screw em back on there.

at least on my L98 that's the the case, maybe they added some 3m tape to the newer emblems? I'm not sure.
