help me get covered

back to covers, just about anything made by sunbrella is good stuff, but very expensive. they make the sail covers for sail boats. covercraft has some covers made with sunbrella materials. and covercraft has mostly very good covers in all price ranges.
noah's probably your best bet. just remember, if you put it on over a very dirty (not lightly dirty altho that can be damaging over time as well) car, the small movements of the cover will grind the dirt into the car's finish. kind of like the reasons against a front end car bra.
and don't forget, you'll probably want ear pockets for your mirrors. some places cheap out on that or charge you more; get them--it's worth it to have.
hope this helps.

They are pretty waterproof. I washed mine (on the car, as recommended) the other day, and it was hard to get water through, even with a hose.
As far as putting it on a dirty car, I agree. I have one of those California dust brushes, and I always use it before putting the cover on. No problems thus far.

Also, there is a Tyvek by DuPont but I think while it does the job of protecting the car, it's too light. Plus, I think the top of the line covers are better. Cost more, but better.
For outdoors, stay away from thin nylon, all flannel, all cotton, etc. Take a look at the Mid America catalog; they usually give a pretty good breakdown of indoor and outdoor covers.
