what is the difference in offsets on the Amold wheels. there is the Grand Sport off set and i think the ZR1 offset is a lot bigger. Im not sure what hte exact numbers are and i cant find it anywhere. i thought AFS had them on their website but i didnt see it. please help me out here
im just curious. i know this is a long way down the road but i would like A molds but i want a really really big tire to be able to fit in back. im wondering how far you can have a ZR1 offset Amold widened. the ZR1s have more lip so they have less space in back so i would htink it would be easy to widen. can u hypothetically have a rim widened infront of the spokes ?
ZR1 does not have 38mm front offset, it IS 56mm, and its actually 36.5mm rear.
Yep, your right. +38 is for the earlier cars and I forgot to put on the .5 on the rear. You can have your wheels widened, but they do it on the rear half. Otherwise you would have to try and get rid of the weld marks on the front half. How wide do you want to go. I have 18x11's made for a C5 with a +59 offset and 335/30's that fit the rim perfectly (no roll over) and fit inside wheel wells.
355? you have some deep pockets. My 335's retail for 375 each. I think the only reason they fit so well is because of the 30 ratio sidewall. I can't stand to see a tire that is too big for a rim. I don't think a 355 on a 12 1/2 or 13 inch wheel will fit unless you have the ZR1 widebody rearend. I used have 345's on the back of my Porsche on 13" wheels. But I had the huge RSR fenders.
