Default Wanna see better

Whats the deal with these clear headlights? They are selling on ebay for less than 10 bucks. What i want to know is how is it on the motors (some people have said better some said worse) and do they leak after about 3 days? They look kinda cool and seem like they would let more light through. Ive tried searching but could find my answers

Assuming you are talking about today's trendy lenses that have little if any fluting in the lens itself, be cautious.
The fluting found in premium lights from Hella, Cibie, and even in standard OEM lights is there for a reason; that is what controls light placement, beam shape, cutoff, etc.

Install lights with the "clear" lenses and you may end up with lighting that is functionally inferior. And, since you can't even see our headlights unless they are ON, what would be the point? It's like they are an invisible styling statement....
Just give it some thought.

I don't think you can put a separate bulb in the OEM housing, they are sealed beams.

I'd go with a Hella with 80/100W H4 bulbs. And make the bulbs clear, not cool blue (I learned the hard way)...

I put cool blue bulbs in mine and , while the low beams are great, the high beams are disappointing.

I have the cheap ones in both of mine and I like em...They weigh less than the glass ones and make better light than the OE plastic ones.I don't mind spending money on my cars but if you don't have to,why do it?

I've been thinking about the inexpensive e-bay units as well. I hope others will post about their own experiences I am especially interested if there is a significant difference between the "euro look" clear lenses, and Silverstars.
