Default mas air flow sensor

When you change the mass air flow sensor should you also change the relays?

You do not have to. I do it as a habit. For the same reason I change the fuel filter when I change the pump. It cannot hurt. Cheap and easy to do.

Yes you are supposed to change them if you change the MAF itself.

That's what the dealer told me on my old TPI IROC... I had a MAF go bad and it was changed by the dealer... On the way home, it blew the new MAF...

Dealer had it for a few days again before they realized there was a bulletin on MAF replacement for my 88... They replaced the MAF again along with the relays and I never had another problem...

Those old MAFs are pretty expensive, so why chance it???
