That's what the dealer told me on my old TPI IROC... I had a MAF go bad and it was changed by the dealer... On the way home, it blew the new MAF...
Dealer had it for a few days again before they realized there was a bulletin on MAF replacement for my 88... They replaced the MAF again along with the relays and I never had another problem...
Those old MAFs are pretty expensive, so why chance it???
